Lightness and brightness-the concept for a luxury hotel

The field of design is considered one of the most important monuments of cultural heritage in Slovenia and a unique example of the preserved landscape architectural arrangement. The hotel complex is located at the far edge of the area, which together with the planned programme completes a comprehensive strategy for offering specific activities and events at the highest level – even the protocol level. The spatial composition follows the horizontal derivation of the building volume, of height G+3 with one underground floor. The southern tract of the existing object is retained, followed by the zone of the central-entrance of the new complex, which the remaining part of the volume mirrors in the shape of letter S.The rotation in the central part overall gives rise to a high-quality spatial tension – separation of the entire corpus, and above all it offers an attractive organization of the entrance-access area on one hand, with the direct connection of the external atrium (terrace) on the other. The organization of the programme is meaningfully divided into the ground floor of public content on which the horizontal cube is located and where the bars of the hotel rooms are arranged on three floors.
