Architecture in general terms is associated with a wide range of local traditions, which were also primarily influenced by climatic characteristics. Therefore, it is clear that in this Mediterranean atmosphere, the key elements of design are shady spaces, plantations of the green system, fountains / water motifs that contribute to a pleasant time outdoors. However, the square area is rich with its historical artifacts and it is necessary to upgrade the formal program scheme in a way to enable the spatial perception of historical key layers despite the new concept arrangements. We are talking about the reinterpretation of the basic compositional principles (symmetry), typology of construction (introverted courtyard, perimeter building) and decorative elements (vegetation, water motif) in a sense of contemporary expression.
